Company Representatives and Alumni,
It is with the greatest pleasure that I am releasing this events packet for all of our exciting new programs this upcoming year. I cannot stress how important it is to spend time reviewing this packet to fully understand each program and its value to your organization. I am excited for another amazing year and I am excited to work with you throughout the coming days.
There are a few points of interest I would like to highlight for your consideration concerning the University of Illinois at Chicago and the Accounting Club. Starting in Fall 2007, UIC will have the most students living on campus in Chicago than ever before. Our expected membership numbers for this year are also expected to be the highest they’ve ever been before (in the three hundreds) and our impact on the growing and changing campus this year will be enormous. With all of this growth at UIC, it’s important to remember that our impact won’t be nearly as great if we do not have your support and participation. Not only will your support continue to fuel our efforts here on campus, but your investment of time, energy, and money will pay off many times over for you and your organization. I am pleased to boast that the UIC student body is one of the most diverse, brightest, and hardest working communities in the country. Students here not only study full-time, but most students also have full-time jobs and part-time jobs. Soon, as you know, many from this academic community will be pursuing careers in the business world and more specifically in the Accounting field. You will need these students for your business to continue to grow and be successful in today’s markets.
This is a very simple idea, and it’s one we’ve never forgotten. As the Accounting Club at UIC, we are working to give every UIC Accounting student opportunities for their future. I am confident in our students that if given the opportunity for success they will not only succeed, but they will shine in their endeavors. I am concerned (and will be the entire year), with providing the opportunity for every deserving UIC Accounting student to shine. This is the first step of many, where I will be reaching out to you for your help and participation. Please take the time to review and participate in all of our events this year, it is essential to our success and yours. The edge you gain over others in your field by supporting UIC is immense and it allows us to offer more opportunities to our students.
